How to Care for Your Nexus Luminaires Lamp

How do I clean the jesmonite base?

Dust the base regularly with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately — avoid soaking or submerging jesmonite in water, and keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight or damp environments, which can affect its finish over time.

How do I care for a faux fur or bouclé shade?

Gently brush faux fur or bouclé shades with a soft brush to lift dust, in the direction of the texture. Avoid using liquid cleaners directly on the material; if a shade needs deeper cleaning, contact us for guidance specific to that piece.

Do I need to clean the brass hardware?

Exposed brass pins, screws, and pipes on pieces like Moo-D, Dolly, and Hide will naturally develop a soft patina over time. If you prefer a brighter finish, a standard brass polish applied carefully with a cloth will restore the shine without needing to remove any hardware.

Can I change the bulb myself?

Yes. Always unplug the lamp before changing a bulb. Match the replacement bulb to the fitting shown on your product page (typically E14 or E27), and use an LED bulb within the wattage the fitting is rated for.

How should I store a lamp I'm not using?

Store it upright in a dry space, away from direct heat sources, and keep faux fur or fabric shades loosely covered rather than compressed, so the texture doesn't flatten.
