Bridging thought, space, and atmosphere.

My journey into design began not with physical materials, but with concepts. After graduating with a degree in philosophy in Cluj-Napoca, my fascination with how we perceive reality and space needed a tangible outlet. I wanted to build the ideas I was questioning, a desire that naturally led me to study architecture.

The true turning point happened during an architectural design course dedicated to interior and exterior lighting. Studying exactly how light behaves within a space, and delving into the intricate design of lighting fixtures themselves, completely shifted my perspective. I realized that a luminaire is not just a functional accessory; it is the core element that dictates the atmosphere and emotional weight of a room. That was the exact moment I fell in love with lighting design.

Nexus Luminaires is the physical translation of this journey. Drawing from both my philosophical roots and my architectural studies, I approach every lamp as a spatial study. By exploring a diverse palette of materials: from the architectural weight of jesmonite and the structural precision of polymers, to the luminous fluidity of resin and the unexpected softness of faux fur; I translate abstract visions into deeply tactile realities.

For me, a lamp is a sculptural presence that actively shapes its environment, exploring the delicate boundary between a solid architectural form and the calming light it radiates.
